Me & My Pack

Meet Wayne, Founder of Wayne's Pet Services
Hi everybody,
My name is Wayne and I am the founder of Wayne's Pet Services. I have had a passion for dogs since being a young boy and grew up in the family home with a wide range of breeds. I have owned Cocker Spaniels, Springer Spaniels, Jack Russels, German Shepherds, Labradors, Huskeys, Akitas, Caucasian Shepherds and more recently, Central Asian Shepherds. Due to my extensive experience with a variety of breeds, I have developed a unique set of skills in handling dogs of all different sizes and temperaments.
For many years, I have been thinking about a way that I could spend my days with my biggest passion; dogs. After the pandemic, I decided to take the leap and start my own dog walking service and I have never looked back! Spending everyday with your wonderful pets, getting to know them as individuals and being welcomed into so many families has been the most amazing experience and I am so excited to continue this journey and see where it takes us.
I am a passionate, dedicated and reliable pet care business offering solo walks, group walks and house visits, covering the majority of Tameside. I am fully insured to the highest standard, DBS checked and Canine First Aid Trained, helping you to feel 100% comfortable in leaving your beloved pets in my hands. It is currently just myself working for Wayne's Pet Services so you can feel confident in the knowledge that if you have chosen us to be your dog walker, it will be me completing the service for you.
Thank you for visiting the website and considering us for your pet's needs. I hope that the information that you find on the website will help you in deciding whether we will be the right company for you. If you have any further questions or would like to arrange a free Meet and Greet, please do not hesitate to contact me using the Live Chat option or the 'Contact Us' page on the website.

Our Pack
They All Joined Us!
Initially starting our pet services company with only our own Central Asian Shepherds, our pack has now grown to over 20 dogs! Below are a selection of some of our pack members and a little information about the journey that they have had with us.

Lola
Cockerpoo
Lola is one of our original members and is a wonderful example of how our services can support your pet’s needs and develop their confidence.
Lola is a stunning Cockerpoo who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out! However, a few months ago, she was unfortunately involved in an accident where she was hit by a car. Thankfully, Lola made a full recovery but as you can imagine, the accident really knocked her confidence when taken on walks. Lola’s owners contacted me with their concerns and after our initial Meet & Greet, we decided that solo walks were a great place to start with Lola. During these sessions, we worked on Lola’s confidence through positive reinforcement and slowly introduced roadside walks back into her routine. We are pleased to say that it really didn’t take long for Lola to gain her confidence back! We were so pleased with Lola’s progress within just a matter of weeks that myself and her owner decided to move Lola onto group walks and wow! Her confidence just continued to flourish! Lola now enjoys two wonderful walks a week with her best friends where she enjoys exploring different locations, paddling and playing Fetch with her friends.
If you want to hear more about Lola’s journey, please check out her owner’s five star review on our review page.
Mac
Long Haired German Shepherd
As you can see, Mac is a beautiful example of his breed. He is a huge boy with an even bigger heart. Upon our initial Meet and Greet, Mac’s owner expressed some concerns with Mac, including heavy lead-pulling and some reactivity to other dogs. Mac’s owner was receiving support from a local dog trainer on some of these issues, and therefore, we felt that it was important that I too communicate with his trainer to ensure that I am implementing the strategies suggested. Myself and Mac’s owner and trainer regularly communicate and as a result, we are seeing huge improvements in Mac’s walks. Mac can now be walked off-lead with good recall and minimal reactivity to others dogs. He is a pleasure to walk with very little pulling now too! Mac is still on his journey but he has come so far and we will continue to support Mac in anyway that we can.

Kika
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Kika is another original member of our pack and we have loved sharing our time with her! Kika is a friendly, sociable and gentle pup who absolutely loves her group walks. No matter which friend we bring to share time with Kika that day, she always displays her soft nature and welcomes them into her play. Her favourite game to play is Fetch where we always find a safe field for her to explore and play with her friends. If you see us around, please come and say hello; we love making new friends!
Levi
Boston Terrier
Levi is another original member of the Wayne’s Pet Services pack and there hasn’t been a dull moment since he started! Levi brings a smile to both mine and the other dog’s faces during every single walk. Levi is a confident, well socialised, good mannered dog who absolutely adores the camera! Just one spot of the phone taking photographs and Levi puts on his very best smile and pose. Levi has created wonderful friendships with our other pups and loves nothing more than an empty field and a game of Fetch with his pals.
Because of all of these wonderful attributes, you will usually find Levi leading the way on our daily lunchtime group walk. Levi does an outstanding job of supporting other dogs in building their confidence and helps to teach them how to be a good member of the pack showing endless amounts of patience and love.
